History has been made by accepting four new races as Associate Members to the Worldloppet Ski Federation! From now on, Marchablanca / Ushuaialoppet (ARG), Vasaloppet China (China), Fossavatn Ski Marathon (ISL) and Merino Muster (NZL) are included into the Worldloppet family and are eligitable to stamp Worldloppet passports!!! Congratulations to all four races and WELCOME to Worldloppet!!!

For the first time in history, Worldloppet is opening its doors to smaller races which do not fulfill the minimum requirements to become a full member of Worldloppet with the possibility of joining the family as Associate Members. They will be able to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM), to voice their ideas and to profit from the experience of all races. However, they won't have a voting right at the AGM.

Worldloppet skiers now have the possibility to chose from four new destinations of long distance skiing. A Southern Hemisphere "series" in August with races in Argentina, New Zealand and Australia will be possible as well as a New Year's race with Vasaloppet China. All four races will soon be included into the Worldloppet calendar which can be found on http://www.worldloppet.com/
